Food, mobility and housing are responsible for the vast majority of everyday life's emissions of greenhouse gases. At the same time, these areas are also some of the most important elements of our lives.
Adjustments in consumption patterns and everyday life are necessary based on climate considerations, but it should not be left to the individual consumer alone to make the right choices. Consumers' choice of sustainable alternatives must be promoted and made easy and attractive based on policies and infrastructure developments.
The FoMoHo project will investigate how everyday practices in relation to transport, food and housing are connected and are shaped by socio-material, cultural and organizational structures.
The results of the project include policy recommendations on how different sectors of society should be integrated in relation to supporting a sustainable transformation of everyday consumption patterns.
